TERMS & CONDITIONS.

Appointments


  1. Glasgow Laptops operate on an appointment only basis for all the services (Repairs & Sales) it provides including In-House, On-Site and Collect & Deliver services.
  2. If you have contacted us by messenger, email, text or contact form we will endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours.
  3. Our standard appointment times are 10am to 5pm 7 days a week, and although we will do our best to accommodate customers requests we cannot guarantee availability.
  4. Appointments out with the above times may be negotiated (at our discretion) with prior arrangement.
  5. Any On-Site or Collect & Deliver services that have initially been arranged via messenger, text or email -  must be confirmed by telephone.  Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the appointment.
  6. Where On-Site and Collect & Deliver appointments have been made and confirmed by telephone but no-one is available to receive our services, an invoice for our standard charge of £30 will be issued to cover the cost of time spent travelling and fuel.
  7. Although we will endeavour to accommodate customers, we cannot guarantee a same day service.
  8. Typical wait time for sales appointments are 1 - 2 days.
  9. Typical wait times for repair appointments are 2 -3 days.
  10. On-Site Repairs are usually completed on the same day as the appointment, but this cannot be guaranteed especially if additional components need to be ordered to complete the repair.
  11. In-House and Collect & Deliver repair services typically take 4 - 5 days to complete which is subject to receiving any ordered components or parts needed to complete a repair.

Repair Prices & Payment of Repairs


Any prices that are eluded to or inferred within the scope of this website or any other materials published by Glasgow Laptops is an estimate based on the "Cost of Labour" and does not include the cost of required components or parts needed to complete the repair.  The following terms and conditions apply to our services:


  1. Our No Fix No Fee service is only applicable to repairs that have been dropped off to our premises in the Southside of Glasgow.
  2. Our No Fix No Fee service is only applicable in circumstances where we have undertaken a diagnosis and cannot identify an issue and offer a solution.  Where the issue has been identified and a solution offered, and the customer declines the repair for any reason, a standard fee of £30 for initial diagnosis is applicable and will be charged to the customer.
  3. Where an On-Site or Collect & Deliver service has been requested and we cannot complete a repair, we will not charge for labour costs.  However a standard charge of £30 is applicable to cover the cost of time spent travelling and fuel.
  4. Where an On-Site or Collect & Deliver service has been requested and a customer refuses the repair for any reason a standard charge of £30 is applicable to cover the cost of time spent travelling and fuel.
  5. Payment is required on completion of any repairs undertaken.  We accept Cash, Bank Transfer and all Major Credit and Debit Cards.
  6. We do not accept Cheques, Paypal or Cryptocurrency payments for any repair work done.

Repairs Warranty


All repairs conducted by Glasgow Laptops come with our standard 6 month warranty on the labour and hardware supplied.  Our repair Warranty does not cover the following:


  1. Other faults, damage or general "wear and tear" that occur after the initial repair has been concluded.
  2. Accidental damage or faults initiated by customer negligence after our repair is concluded.
  3. Additional Software Conflicts, Viruses, Malware and Adware problems that are initiated after we have concluded our repair.
  4. Batteries (if faulty) are covered under warranty, however battery degradation is not covered under warranty.  We do not guarantee the longevity of replacement batteries as these are a consumable item that need replaced over time.
  5. Our FINAL QUOTE's are defined by the "SCOPE OF THE JOB".  Additional services or repairs that are requested outwith the initial "SCOPE OF THE JOB" will be charged separately.

Sales Warranty


All of the refurbished products sold by Glasgow Laptops come with a standard 6 month warranty on the hardware and software supplied.  Extended warranties are available, but the scope of these Terms & Conditions apply to all extended warranties.  Our warranty on the sale of refurbished Laptops and PC's does not cover the following:


  1. Accidental damage after the point of purchase.
  2. Damage or faults initiated by customer negligence after the point of purchase.
  3. Laptop batteries and battery degradation are not covered under warranty as these are a consumable item that need replaced over time.  We do not guarantee the longevity of  batteries supplied with laptops as this will be dependent on many use based factors.  Any estimation of battery time, is purely an estimation and cannot be taken as a guarantee. 
  4. Software Conflicts, Viruses, Malware and Adware problems that are initiated after point of purchase.
  5. Alternative operating systems (such as Linux) and any such issues arising from the implementation of such are not covered under warranty.
  6. Our warranty is void if any of the hardware has been removed or tampered with after the point of purchase.  This includes instances where customers have upgraded the product either by themselves or a 3rd party (including other independent repair persons/establishments).
